We train and support teachers from primary, secondary and special schools to work actively and ambitiously with Shakespeare.About our impact
The world's mine oyster
2017 was a revolutionary year for Shakespeare Schools Foundation. We took the world's largest youth drama festival to eight new towns and cities across the UK, giving 24,346 young people a stage to be heard in 136 professional theatres. We also launched curriculum resources for our schools and more than doubled our delivery of additional workshops.
We know that our impact is real. With us, young people gain skills for life and see the whole world as their stage. 99% of teachers agreed that their students' confidence increased as a result of taking part in the Festival and 90% of teachers said that their students were more enthusiastic about school and learning.
