Our special CPD Day Play On is back!

Calling all teachers!

Searching for inspiration for the new term?

So was Tracey from St Swithun’s School in Winchester.

She attended our special workshop day Play On last year, and told us:

“Great CPD! Can’t wait to apply your amazing ideas.”

Play On is for anyone who works with young people and Shakespeare. Whether you’re directing a Shakespeare play, looking at Shakespeare in English or simply wanting a fun way to engage your students, this day will give you lots of tools and techniques to take back to school.

This year, Play On is back in three locations across the country, and you can be a part of it!

  • London (10th September)
  • Leeds (13th September)
  • Cardiff (17th September))

Led by SSF’s team and theatre professionals, our 2018 Play On has more content than ever before.

SSF sessions include ensemble movement and storytelling, a focus on Shakespeare’s language and Curriculum sessions for KS2-4, showing how SSF’s rehearsal room practice can be used to meet the demands of the national curriculum and exam boards.

Special guest sessions incorporate a crash course in puppetry with industry leaders Little Angel Theatre and a special workshop with renowned Theatre Designer Michael Vale who will take you through how he develops a ‘look’ for a show. For our London day, we are particularly excited that SSF Patron Sir Nicholas Hytner will be leading a Q&A session. Currently Director of the renowned Bridge Theatre and previously Director of the National Theatre, Nicholas will be on hand to answer any questions you have about your production,

Our active approach to learning helps you to bring out the best in your students and will enhance your teaching practice, building up confidence, communication skills, teamwork and raising aspiration.
