Double Your Impact with the Big Give Christmas Challenge
This Christmas, Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation is raising £80,000 to transform the lives of young people across the UK in 2025 – and for one week only, from 3-10 December, your gift will have twice the impact with every donation doubled!
Your support will help us deliver our 25th-anniversary programme of events, performances, and workshops, enabling thousands of students from primary, secondary, and special educational needs schools a transformative experience to perform Shakespeare. But there's a catch - if the match funding isn't fully utilised, any remaining funds will be lost, so your contribution matters more than ever.

Why Your Support Is Needed Urgently
Young people are lacking the confidence, skills, and creative experiences they need to thrive. With the decline of drama and performing arts in schools, children - especially those in disadvantaged areas - are losing crucial opportunities for personal growth and self-expression. The enrichment and attainment gaps between those with access to the arts and those without continues to grow and the wellbeing of pupils remains a major concern for parents and school leaders. Without opportunities for connection many young people, particularly those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), miss out on the chance to foster collaboration, develop empathy and build positive relationships with peers.
How we make a difference
We Build Skills and Confidence for Life.
“It was the best day of my life. I felt like I had just conquered the world.” Student, Old Catton Junior School, Norwich
We Give Children the Chance to Shine.
“Seeing my class on stage, brimming with self-confidence, was one of the proudest moments of my teaching career.
It reminded me why I became a teacher in the first place.”
Laura Mitchell, Teacher, Pollokshields Primary School, Glasgow
We Bring Children Together to Learn, Connect, and Succeed.
"When you start rehearsals, you start with a blame culture... by the end of rehearsals that doesn't happen – they’re helping each other
and praising each other, they’re really nice to each other, and it is a lasting effect."
Mark Shenton, Teacher, Belle Vue Primary School, Carlisle
