Lights, Camera, Action: It’s Film Festival Term!

Across the UK, teachers are returning to the classroom for the autumn term and at Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation that can only mean one thing. . . it’s Film Festival time!

We’re thrilled to be adding this event to our festival calendar this year and we cannot wait to see how the brilliant creativity and imagination of our teachers and students translates onto the silver screen.

So, what can you expect this term?

  • CPD!

We'll be joined by our partners and experts in the field, Into Film, for three CPD sessions in September. Teachers will be guided through the process of preparing for the film shoot, facilitating the filming itself, and on postproduction work such as editing and evaluating. We’ll be covering everything from scouting locations and planning shots to recording sound and the use of green screens.

  • The Film Festival!

The Festival itself will take place from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th November with a selection of films releasing onto our website each day. We’ll be promoting and sharing each release on social media throughout the week, so stay tuned to the Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation Twitter or Facebook accounts to keep up with all the action.

  • Best of the Festival!

Join us on Thursday 2nd December for a special online event where we’ll be celebrating the results of everyone’s hard work with a selection of scenes from every school involved and the fascinating stories behind how each of them got there. Keep your eye out for some appearances from some very special Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation guests and patrons 👀

Don’t forget that you can still sign up for the Film Festival, now at a discounted price, by completing this form here. All of our all our summer CPD sessions are available on demand to catch up on through your dedicated online account so it’s never too late! We’re so excited about everything to come this term and we’d love to have you come along for the ride.
