How Coram SSF can benefit teachers as much as students
Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation is delighted to announce a new partnership with Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA).
CSSF will support PQA by providing resources, projects, training and opportunities to students, teachers and principals at over 200 academies. The partnership will bring together CSSF’s active approach to Shakespeare and PQA’s track record of excellent performing arts tuition for children.
Mike Tucker, Head of Coram SSF said: “I’m excited by the possibilities of our new partnership with Pauline Quirke Academies. PQA has a strong reputation for delivering innovative and high-quality arts training for young people. We have a shared approach to creative education and each seek to challenge, support and inspire children to express themselves and see that all the world is their stage. We look forward to sharing our experience and approach to Shakespeare with PQA Academies, Principals and most importantly students across the UK.”
Richard Mulholland, Head of Stage and Screen at PQA said: “PQA is delighted to be partnering with CSSF whose mission to transform the lives of young people is reflected in everything we do at PQA. Shakespeare is a hugely popular part of PQA’s performing arts offering so it is wonderful to team up with CSSF, and have access to their expertise and passion, to inspire our students, principals and teaching staff with Shakespeare’s words and stories.”
CSSF and PQA will collaborate first on What You Will, a creative competition open to all PQA Academies across the UK. We will invite PQA Students a to take a fresh look at Shakespeare’s plays and to create a new speech for one of the characters.
